The Year of the Butterfly

Stainless Steel Butterfly mounted on a concrete obelisk with mild steel vortex detail at the base.

The idea behind this sculpture was purely the fact that there was an abundance of butterfly's  around in this year, I wanted to give it a monumental feel like something from a godzzilla film or similar and the mild steel detail at the bottom of the post is representational of the vortex created by every beat of the butterfly's wings.
